The F4U-4 Corsair was a commission project for Burt Avedon who flew in the “Marianas Turkey Shoot” with VF6. I met Burt at the 1982 CAF air show in Harlingen, Texas where I was marketing my aircraft prints. I was surprised when Burt approached me to do his aircraft and portrait when there were representatives for Keith Ferris, Frank Wootton and other top aviation artists at the air show.
